X Keys

Is anybody using X keys with Ion out there.  I got mine this afternoon and got it configured with no problems - thanks for the post Anne - and it seems to work fine on a PC running offline software. However when I connect to the Ion ( with scroll lock on ) I get the following problems

the + key returns = on the command line

the thru key returns t on the command line

the undo key returns c on the command line

As far as I can tell the - key works correctly as do all the others I have tried.

Anybody have any bright ideas

  • Ah, I believe I see the difficulty.  There are two kinds of scroll lock.  There's scroll lock from a keyboard which changes your keyboard into console buttons and there's scroll lock on the console which has to do with how tabs behave.

Try hooking up an external keyboard and pressing the scroll lock button on it to enable scroll lock.  I believe you'll find everything works after that.
