Hey all,
We are soon renting a product by Chroma Q called a Color Web 250. We are going to us the virtual media server to map the grid. However, the way the web is laid out, the addressing of the LED's needs to be in the shape of a snake, and is a going to be a complicated process of reproducing over 42 panels. Is there a possible way to copy and paste a pattern and populate it with new channel numbers quickly?
Thanks for the help,
Bill

Hi you don't really need the ability to copy and paste as when you go to make your pixel map you can use existing fixtures, you select by dragging over your pixel map the area you wish to cover and select then select the fixture type in exactly the same way you would in patch. You can then set the address as you go.
The desk knows that Colour Web 250's each panel has a grid of 4x4 LED's and the order it follows (the snake pattern) you can also rotate each panel if you need too.
Hope it makes sense when you get to have a play.

Stacy,
That worked great! Thanks for the advice. I however didn't get this until we had manually addressed everything already, but in case we made a mistake it will be good to have this as a back up.
My other question then, is if the Color Web fixture in the EOS is one panel, when you control it outside of pixel mapping can you control the individual nodes? I would imagine not as it is only one control channel with the standard RGB control. The way the rental company told us to patch this product was to address each individual node as a generic RGB LED so you can still run regular effects on it.
I'll report back in a few weeks with the results. Thanks again!
