Malcolm, this is only needed with multiple programmers in a partitioned control environment. The fader configuration is global. So, Page 1/Fader 1 will be the same on all desks. If it is submaster 1, anyone can control it and all of the channels assigned. We wanted to establish a way for each programmer to use the master fader pair on his desk though. So, each User can define the Master Fader as a discrete number, allowing use of the fader independent of other users. If you and I were programming individual parts of the rig, it is recommended practice to use separate cue lists (you don't have to, but its much cleaner). You might set your master fader to "0", while I set mine to "1". Then you can place your main cue list on your master fader and I can place my main cue list on my master fader.
Does that make sense?

Hi Anne,
That makes perfect sense now. Are there any plans to be able to make channels independent of a Grand Master as you could do on Obsession?
