Matt, The client software is not supported over a wireless connection. WiFi can cause lots of issues, including what you're describing. I'd try it over a wired connection and see if you still have problems. Good luck, ~P

In addition, the firewall on the router which keeps the sACN traffic from overheating the rf antenna, is also keeping your client software from "seeing" the console. In addition its prohibiting the console from making handshake with the client software... Running the client from the local side of the router brings its own challenges. Primarily the wifi's desire to bundle the packets to and from its devices over the airwaves, and not have the antenna transmitting all the time. This being said, I agree with ueliriegg that the ONLY way to run the client is by wired connection.

What Glenn said. There are some very specific situations (very small shows, certain access points, certain wifi cards, excellent rf environments) where the client will run on WiFi, but generally it just simply doesn't work. ~P
