RFR & Console Locking

G'day there

Just recieved our RFR which has made life SOOOOO much easier! Absolutly loving it.  The one thing that I have found slightly not-so-good is that when I lock the console, the RFR can no longer control the rig.

Quite often I'll bring up preset from the stage and then doddle around backstage before heading out the front to operate the show.  Since our console is positioned in the auditorium, I like to lock the console when I am not sitting at it on the off chance a punter gets itchy fingers and wants to play with it (not that this has happened yet).

I know I'd personally like to be able to still use the remote even if the console is locked, but what are other peoples thoughts on this?

Cheers

  • I have another locking issue between the RFR and EOS. If I start up the EOS with the RFR plugged in  the console will freeze on the start up screen. I have to have the RFR unplug first, start up the board and then plug the RFR in.

Is this a normal start up procedure?

    Thanks
