So how come the Fader wings don't come with a dust cover?

People keep asking me why our fader wing doesnt have a dust cover...and all I can tell them is that ETC didnt include one, and maybe it is because ETC doesnt know of it is going to be bolted on to the ION or left stand alone.

So, why not?

Have your costume shop make one! I gave the ETC drawing of our Expression to the shop and they made me a cover...they called it a "board cozy"!

This is something that I have wanted to know too. I have an ION with a 2X10 wing. If I attach the wing to the desk the dust cover does not fit. If I do not attach the wing to the desk there is no way for it to power off since it derives its power, when not attached, via an external rectifier. So we have not attached out wig to the ION so that it is as flexible as possible and so that we can use the dust cover. At night when we shut down we just unplug the wing. It is not perfect but it is working so far.

Hi guys. We are just now getting the dust covers for the fader wings in (as you can tell, there were some logistical issues to work out). They will begin shipping with all forward production shortly. We will be sending them out to prior shipments upon request. I will shortly have the name of the person at ETC to contact regarding this and will post it here.

If you have Universal Fader Wings and we did not ship you a dust cover, please do one of the following:
Contact your dealer. He can contact ETC to request covers be sent to you.
If you know your project manager at ETC (installs only), please contact him/her. That person will place an order for wings as per your initial order
Contact Dan Boggess (dan.boggess@etcconnect.com). Please be prepared to provide your Shop Order Number, Purchase Order or job name.
PLEASE, PLEASE, don't do more than one of these!! Let's manage our carbon footprint and not send out duplicate shipments (actually, I'm pretty sure we have tools in place to manage this, but you get my point!!)

Hi Anne, the supplier i used for my 2 x 10 fader Wing was Barbizon in Miami, but im in Jamaica....sooo, Little tricky to get a cover. Keys and some other promo stuff were mailed to me directly once. is that possible for the dust cover.

Actually I was looking for any forum feedback on the Programming Wing....and "accidentally" came across this thread. Lucky me. didn't even notice the date. but still got a favorable response. Gotta love ETC.
