Connecting Capture to Offline ION with same computer

So when I'm on the road I want to us the offline editor on my laptop to run both Capture and the ION off line editor on my computer. I have looked through the forums and tried different things but to be honest I am totally lost. Can I run both from the same computer? I tried different settings and I can't get any external universes to show up. I really tried everything and have just come to a wall. Thanks. I'm using windows 7. Also I use this laptop hooked up to the ION console and it works just fine.

  • i think you need the Windows Loopback Adapter. it's a piece of software that pretends it's a network interface. without it, some programs will disable networked output if there is no networked connection present. i suggest you google the loopback adapter. it will tell you to go to the windows control panel and tell you how to install this tool.
