Advanced merge of patch occasionally clears out existing show file

This happened last week and I put it down to me not paying attention to what I was doing, but it's just happened again and this time I was 100% with it....

I've just merged the patch of all my house light channels from an old show file and after the merge had completed I was left with an 'untitled*' show file and just my house light channels. Everything else had gone. 

I re-loaded from the save I had done before the merge and tried again and it worked fine. Pretty sure it wasn't me both times.

  • Hmm, I think that happened to me too, but I found out that I used File Open instead of merge. When all directories in the browser are open, I sometimes get confused and sometimes end up doing a save as instead of an open

    Hmm, i'm possibly being very stupid, i'll hold my hands up and admit that I have done what you say before over the years, but today I am 100% convinced that I advanced merged my house light patch and it wiped out my show file so that I had an empty file and just my 50 house light channels. If I hadn't done a similar thing last week then i'd have thought nothing more of it, maybe I should just starting paying more attention!
