When will the Ion Windows 7 upgrade be available and how will we be notified?

What is the reason for the different eligibility requirements? For those of us with older consoles, are we just out of luck? I feel like as an early adopter of your console, we've been penalized. Steve Martin

The issue is likely incompatibility of peripheral components like the power supply, USB controllers, or maybe even physical case changes such that bolt holes and supports can't be made to align.

I am sure there are good reasons and I bet there was a ton of debate about alienating their most ardent supporters but like I said on FB, I wish they would have offered tiered pricing for older Ions that covered a complete hardware swap, rather than just saying they can't be supported. It would have put the decision in my hands instead of taking it away entirely.

As it is, if I can't upgrade both I am unlikely to upgrade either since the user experience on a multi-touch console is going to become radically different. If they come out with encoders for Nomad I may go that route and sell off the older console.
