Nomad touch screen

Awaiting my nomad usb. Will be running it on a Dell Inspiron laptop Windows 7. Wanting to purchase a secondary monitor. Probably a dumb question as I'm sure monitors are or are not compatible with the computer rather than the software in programs but I thought I would ask anyway.

Does it matter what touch screen we use? I know for the actual consoles it can make a difference but didn't know if it does through nomad on a laptop. I'm looking hard at the Dell 21.5" S2240T.

Not a dumb question, as there have been touchscreen monitors that were application-specific!

Thankfully, Windows 7 mostly eliminated that approach.

As you thought, this is primarily compatibility with the hardware and operating system, not the software.

Any Windows 7-compatible touchscreen should work fine for Eos and Cobalt Nomad under desktop Windows 7.

So have the 21.5 touch hooked up and working but can't find any settings in Nomad for EOS that allow dual monitors in order to show two different screens, one of course being a touch and the other my lap top non touch. Is there any way to do that?

In the Shell, settings, General, there's a dropdown menu for the number of screens. The rest of the configuration you will have to do in Windows control panel

Got it. No wonder I missed it. It's called offline editor windows with a dropdown. Set to 2 and works great once I set my laptop to extended. Thanks so much. Now for all the other settings in my latest post.
