crossfades on direct selects

is it possible to create a crossfade direct select like how a cue work but only with the fixtures in that particular direct select? Ie. with out selecting fixtures or channels, i can just hit a direct select and only the fixtures in that select will change...say intensity or colour as a crossfade while the rest remain as they are.

If you have the double click option in setup activated, you can fire a complete direct select, e.g. a preset. Use the manual control times in setup (unless you're on an element) and double click. Or [Group] {direct select} [Sneak] seconds {direct select} [Enter].

Thanks...this is a step in the right direction...at least I can now get some XFs to work using direct selects. What is working...is Group/sneak/direct select preset. or Group/Sneak/#/direct select preset..# setting the length of time....This allows me to choose which fixtures that i want to fade out or XF colours. Now is it possible to record those sneak and times into the direct selects. Is macro direct selects the solution?

It might be more convenient to record macros to tweak the manual times then use the double click method.
