Converting Moving Light values to EOS TI

Hello,

We just recently upgraded to the EOS TI and I have a show that has been converted over from the Obsession 600.

On the 600 all of the moving light attributes were done by channel, I would like to convert those over to just the single channel in the EOS TI. Is there a way to do this?

Since many of the attributes in EOS land don't use the 1-100 levels that the Obsession 600 did I don't know what the conversion would be. Is there a formula I can run the old levels through to get the EOS TI equivalent?

Any help would be appreciated.

  • I don't think there is a way to automatically export/import the data. Your obsession data doesn't map in any way to a fixture profile. You could probably make an excel spreadsheet to convert the data with a few funtions and then rewrite the Q's by hand in the TI. That might be as good as it gets. The basic function to convert a 0-100 percentage to a DMX value would be something like =Round((255/100)*CellwithPercentageValue;0) Some parameters might have a second conversion (Zoom information in 7* to 30* or whatever) - we'd need to know the exact fixtures to say for sure. How many moving lights and how many Q's are you looking at?
