Problems with aRFR connection and lag...router problem?

Hey everyone.  We are having issues connecting to our Ion with the aRFR app.

Sometimes we can connect to the wireless router right away without problems, but other times (most of the time) the phone attempts to connect, but never does.  When we are able to connect, everything works great, but after about 5 minutes of use there is a significant lag.  I can type in a command and 20 seconds later it will actually execute.  This will happen on all of our devices: laptops, iPad, and cell phones.

What could be the problem?  Is this a wireless router issue?

Thanks.

  • I have seen this where you are using a router in bridged mode and the wireless part of the router can't handle all the data flying through it. The RFR boggs down and won't work. In those cases I usually change the config so the only data on the wireless side is the remote. This makes the setup a bit more complex and harder to understand but does usually solve the problem.
