Bad Error on editing new fixture in patch

hello there, new and very interesting problem here.

I was creating a new Fixture in the patch. Intensity 16 bit, Scroller, then Pan.

I presssed "Size" to set Pan on 16 bit, then came a popup with the following message:

Runtime Error

C:\Program File\ETC\Eos\Eos.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please connect the applications support team for more info.

I clicked ok, then came another message:

exeption unknown software exeption (0x40000015) occured in the application at location 0x1000edb7.

click ok to terminate.

the shell closed down after clicking ok.

I went back in, saved the show I was working on and tried a deep clear and loaded other shows, but anytime I try to edit this fixture, the same thing comes up again.

and: I cannot load in the show I saved after it appeared for the first time.

any idea?

greetings,

mary

  • Hi Mary,

Looks like you found a bug.  The good news it that it sounds easy to reproduce, and that means it will be easy for us to fix :)

When you have a chance, can you email the log files to eos@etcconnect.com?

    To obtain the log files:

    1. Exit Eos
    2. Insert a USB drive into the console
    2. In the Welcome Screen, press the [Settings] button
    3. Select the [Maintenance] tab
    4. Press the [Save Logs...] button and the rest should be self-explanatory
