Bad Error on editing new fixture in patch

hello there, new and very interesting problem here.

I was creating a new Fixture in the patch. Intensity 16 bit, Scroller, then Pan.

I presssed "Size" to set Pan on 16 bit, then came a popup with the following message:

Runtime Error

C:\Program File\ETC\Eos\Eos.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please connect the applications support team for more info.

I clicked ok, then came another message:

exeption unknown software exeption (0x40000015) occured in the application at location 0x1000edb7.

click ok to terminate.

the shell closed down after clicking ok.

I went back in, saved the show I was working on and tried a deep clear and loaded other shows, but anytime I try to edit this fixture, the same thing comes up again.

and: I cannot load in the show I saved after it appeared for the first time.

any idea?

greetings,

mary

  • We are able to reproduce the defect here too now. I'll post more, when we know more. What fixture are you trying to create a custom perosnality for? And are you are using Eos v1.3.0 or 1.3.1?

If you need that showfile, and you didn't have any other custom created fixtures that you need, click the fixtures button when you load the show file, and it will load the file without the custom fixture that is causing the problem.

  • hello!

I have sent the logfiles, in case it still may help.

I wanted to create a 4kW HMI movinglight with shutter and scroller (Lighting Technology), and I found out that I can avoid the problem by putting all other parameters correctly and afterwards inserting the scroller so that the hue and saturation are put in last.

    Thats what it looks like:

     1/2  Intensity 16 bit

       3  Scroller

     4/5  Pan 16bit

     6/7  Tilt 16bit

       8   Movespeed

       9   Zoom

            (Hue)

            (Saturation)

    We are using v1.3.1

The showfile is not important, it was just for practicing, so we do not miss anything.

What I found in trying what may be wrong was, that the console does this: when I say 'save as' and enter a new showname and press enter, it has put me that filename into the list, but seems to not save the show. So then its clear to me, why I couldn´t load my show, because only the name was saved, but nothing behind it.

This seems strange to me, if I say 'save as', I have to save twice, first the new name and then the show into the new-named folder, to really save the show under a new name?

I think its my mistake, where did i go wrong?

    Thanks for support,
