Feature requests and queries.

Hello, below are a few requests/queries I have come across.

  1. Is or would it be possible to map the live button either to Tab 1 or for it to be user definable?
  2. Can "Snapshot x" behave like "Tab x"?
  3. Could there be a 'select dark moves' feature?
  4. It was my understanding that Autoblock clean could be done on a cue by cue basis but it appears to still only be possible to do full cue lists at a time.
  5. Would it be possible (or advisable!) to turn Auto block off? I am a little ignorant as to what benefit it gives.
  6. Can the colour picker's filter 'swatches' be made readily available in the magic sheet creator?

Thank you,

Mark

  • 1. Tab 1 will always be a channel display - what are you trying to achieve with it being user definable?

    2. Why?

    3. I like this idea. FYI you can see dark moves in the about display.

    4. "Block Enter Block Enter" will remove the auto-block.

    5. From the manual, page 212: "Auto-block can protect your cue data from unwanted changes. For example, in cue 5 you set channel 1 to 50%. It is stored as a move instruction. Then, you later go back to an earlier cue and set channel 1 to 50% and it tracks forward to cue 5. Channel 1 will be “auto-blocked” in cue 5. Even though it is now at the same value as the previous cue, the original concept of a move instruction is maintained."

    6. This would be a nice feature. You can make a macro to do this and then trigger it from the magic though.

  • IIRC in Blind Cue you get the autoblock cleanup softkey also in a cue scenario.
  • I will have another look but have never been able to find auto block clean for a single cue in either live or blind, only cue lists; "cue 1 /" will bring up the soft key.

  • You're right, but I'm also a bit right ;) i have to give in that i can't find the softkey in this scenario ( in the version I'm using which is probably different from yours). But if you have a macro that simply writes Autoblk Clean into the command line, Cue 5 Autoblk Clean Enter Enter does work. It's just that you don't ( easily) get the syntax into the command line.
