behavior of +% on multiple channels

Hey everybody

there is something I think I understand but have trouble with again and again so I´d like to know what others think about it.
I use +% a lot and most of the time it works fine except when I have selected more than one channel and try to bring them up from zero level.

When I do that I get an error message ´cause "no channels selected" (maybe wrong translation I´m not working in english) and that happens because the syntax is channels_xy select active +%

Maybe it´s meant that way to only change already active channels when a group is selected but I´d prefer to make that decision manualy.

What do you think?

Console-Software is 2.2 but in Nomad 2.2.1 it´s the same...

  • The +-% buttons work on active channels. If the channels are at 0 they are not active. This was a specific decision that went through many discussions before it was decided.
  • Hmm, thats not totally true as it works fine on single channels that are on 0 and also when I bring multiple channels to 0 using -% first.
I already worried that this behavior depends on a concious decision but I think as it is working in some cases (as described) it´s not really consistent though.

Besides I think I could work in that great selective way the console is offering by using "select active". That´s why I´d prefer to it working on all selected channels not depending on their levels.

Anyway I just have to remind myself that it´s not working as I´d prefer.
Till then I´ll keep ending up with that error message from time to time. That´s a little bit annoying but not hurting thaaat much... [;)]
