Gio moving lights issue.

I have been asked by a work colleague to do a bit moving light programming for student musical performance  (2x robe colorspots 250s and 2x robe colorwash 250s) on an ETC Gio.  I can get the fixtures to pan, tilt and have programmed a couple of bally-type effects.  However, I cannot get the shutters to open or get any sort of response from the lights using the intensity soft key.  Yes, the fixtures are lamped on before anyone asks.   Any suggestions?

  • it's not a intensity problem, it's a focus palette issue.
The light works as it should, just when cue 100 has the light at point A @50% and cue 101 moves the light to point B @ 100% in 4 seconds, a 4 foot move, it has a small curve in the movement. But when the same light goes to cue 102 @100 in 2 seconds to point C, a 40 foot move, it's strait without a curve. The move should not move the pan at all, just tilt. I have the lights turned so that there is no pan. The color wheel works fine as well as the gobo wheel. it's not a intensity problem, it's a focus palette issue.
