Flame Effect on Nomad/EOS

Firstly--I'm new to the programming on the Nomad/EOS system.  (an LD that is now programming the newer desks for the first time...)

I am attempting to create a "Flame Flicker" effect on an LED instrument.  I was able to create a random color effect; but the director wasn't happy with it.  I was unable to concentrate the color envelope--too much amber and green.

What I think I need to have is:

  1. High intensity at [Full]
  2. Low intensity at 35%
  3. Random /fast timing

The online EOS manual has provided me with a type of idea--but seems to be reacting differently on the Nomad version.  YouTube ideas--nope.

Thanks y'all!

  • you probably want to use two effects: one for intensity and one for color. for the intensity one i would choose an absolute effect, one action is 100% the other one 35%, random rate. for the colors you could use an existing effect, the Hue-Sat fade, i think it's effect 914. make the size smaller and choose a starting point somewhere in the magentas (as far away from green and amber as possible).
