Feature Request: LTP Submaster to Override FX

Maybe I am doing it wrong, but I was trying to build a complex, multi-effect cue last night and I kept running into a problem that I couldn't override with manual or Submaster values (even with LTP turned on) when there was an effect running on the channel in a cuel.

Here's what I was trying to program:

Overhead LED pars were running a Color Chase, I wanted to add some white light strobe hits randomly during the effect.

Since I couldn't layer two Color effects on top of each other I wanted to program a few lights on Bump keys with a sub with the light at full, white. The bump keys never over-rode the effect.

These were generic RGBW fixtures that didn't have a actual strobe function.

Does that make sense?

  • If you just want the white flash to happen while the effect is still going then you need to make sure the white channel is not included in the effect. If you create a absolute effect with colour palettes which only contain RGB then set the White to 0 and apply the effect. Then record this into a Cue. Then record a sub which only included the white parameter at full. This will allow you to flash the white with the RGB chase still going. If you want a complete override so the chase stops and the only the white comes on then you could do this with a second cue list on the fader. One cue with the chase running one with just the white on then link cue 2 to one and you can just tap the bump button to start and stop. Tom
