Magic Sheet protection

Might be missing something but seems Magic Sheets aren't protected in any way. Let me explain: Anyone can select the right arrow and open the MS editor, make any changes whether intentional or messing around or not knowing what they are doing then hit the same arrow and the MS is messed up. I guess if that happens the last show file would have to be reopened maybe? Not real clear exactly where MS files are stored or how they are attached. I created a show file for just Sheets and merge them into that file every time I make a new one so I can have them available any time I need them from one location.

Anyway I just think it's way to easy to edit them. I know there are a lot of users out there that really like that but in many venues the consoles are open to anyone using them and that's a problem. Thus the reason for requests to have lockout and passwords for users. Any thoughts on the MS thing?

  • While performing an edit in an MS, in the lower left portion of the screen is a white bordered box with 4 green buttons and a down arrow. If you press that on a very frequent basis during any edit process, the last edits get saved. You can then use Undo to restore after a boo boo.

  • Steve, Thank you for that however that's not the solution to my question. That works when I am doing editing but our consoles at church get used by many people, as I am sure consoles at other venues do as well and once they make the edits, intentional or not; although NO ONE has been shown how to do that because I don't want it, then after a while you can imagine what they will look like. I just think they need to be a bit more protected, or at least some other way to get to the edit screen than a very visible arrow that a lot of people might think is a shrink to the left item.
