Submaster pages and "fix"

Next question. I am trying to emulate my GrandMA work style on an Ion. I do some TV, and like to put playlists on subs, and change pages for each show section. But when using conventionals I like to "fix" them  on certain faders, so they're always at hand. Now I realize the lack of motorized faders will be a big issue, but is there a way to simulate the GrandMA's "Fix" feature?

    The only way you could do this is put the sub on every page of faders you are going to use. As you can have the same sub in multiple places then if you load it on the same fader on every page then the lack of motorized faders wont be a problem because the fader will be at the correct position every time you change page.

    agreed. but for playback faders you have to do some tricks. if you regularly load a cuelist to multiple faders, the console will create multiple playbacks. this would result in multiple instances of the cuelist and each of those instances could be in a different cue. i have the feeling that would lead to undesired results ;)

    when you have done the regular assigning (Cue 2/ Load button; the load button on an external fader wing would be pressing both the upper and lower bump buttons together), go to Setup > Show > Show Setup > Fader Config and check that the faders that need to act as a fixed fader have the same number in the lowest tile ("mapped to"). the number in there is not the cuelist but the playback number that is automatically assigned by the console and that can be looked up in the cuelist display (cue cue).
