Studio Force D XT 12 Profile

Hi!

I'm having trouble with the profile for the Studio ForceD XT 12 on the Eos.

When I chose the Mode 1 profile for the Studio Force D XT 12, (Chroma Q Studio Force D12 M1) in patch, the fixture is patched as 8 channels, which I believe is correct.  When I move to my control screen, however, I only seem to have 2 control channels, one of which is labelled “cool,” and doesn’t seem to have much bearing on the behavior of the light, leaving me with one intensity control channel for the fixture, instead of the 8, that I believe it should have.
Similarly, in Mode 3, I have problems as well.  Mode 3, I believe, should make the fixture behave as 2 separate fixtures, controlling the 2 led engines independently.  When I patch the ETC profile (Chroma Q Studio Force D12 M3) it shows up in patch as 2 channels, but again when I go to my control screen, I only seem to have one intensity channel, and one other channel that is labeled “cool” and doesn’t seem to control anything.
Is this a known problem, and are there any known work arounds?

Thanks!

  • first of all, i don't know this fixture, but i've looked at the fixture profile. it has 8 times the parameter cool. because there is 8 times the same parameter, there is no way of controlling them separately. you would have to edit the profile: Patch, Fixtures, navigate with the arrow keys to your profile, Copy, Edit. you see a list with 8 times Cool White and one Intens. those whites need to be changed into something individual. click on the first one. you get a list of all available parameter names. when you navigate to Cool White you will see that there are not 8 different ones available but only two... you could choose White (as it's close enough and can have at least 8 different instances). thise brings you back to your fixture. click the next cool white, choose White 2. repeat... when you're done, click return. select all the channels with the studio forces and patch them to the edited copy of the original profile.
