FEATURE REQUEST - A better app

I purchased the IRFR app last year. I believe it was about fifty bucks. Although it does work with minor capabilities, I must admit that it is a huge disappointment. I just purchased a Behringer x32 digital audio mixer for only $2100 last month and the app for that sound board which is much less expensive than my Ion is amazing. The app allows you to use any of the hundreds of features of the board from an iPad or other device. You can even have up to 10 IPads connected simultaneously and they can all work together at the same time. It is amazing. I always thought that ETC was a technology leader but my opinion is rapidly changing. Please make a better app and make it free. I recommend my new sound board to everyone and I influence about 15 venues in their purchasing decisions. If another lighting company gets smart with using apps, I would strongly consider their products. I have been a proud ETC user for about 20 years.

  • Version 2.3 of the Eos software is in the works and that will allow everyone to make their own version of a remote app using various free and cheap Open Sound Control software programs.

The money from the app right now goes to a couple charities and is a worth donation.  I agree that is does not do everything I want a remote to do however the addition of OSC fills in and allows us to make something that works perfectly for each situation.

Many sound consoles already support OSC and that may even be what your new Behringer uses.
