How to patch a "Compound Channel"?

A channel in Eos can be any of the following:

• A Source Four
• A Source Four and a Scroller
• A Source Four Revolution

What we would consider a compound channel is the 2nd choice above, with Part 1 being the dimmer and Part 2 being the scroller (or gobo rotator). The <Type> that you mention is how you would patch any fixture type other than dimmer in to the desk. It is a soft button within the CIA near the far right of the screen. The term scroller profile was implied to use whatever brand of scroller you may have in your venue. You would be able to pick this once you select the <Type> key on the screen from one of the preloaded profiles built directly in to the desk.

As for the rest of your question--I'm not sure what you mean by control a group of faders. Do you want to control multiple channels via one fader? Let us know.

While in Blind -->> [Chan X] Address [A] + [B] + [C] + [D] <Enter> right?

Now, if I created a Group and then for some reason I would like to assign or control that Group with one fader, is it possible?

I think you are looking for a submaster.  A submaster can contain multiple levels for multiple channels and is then assigned to a fader.  You don't need to have multiple addresses patched to a channel in order to use this feature, but you can if you want to.

To do this in live you select the channels and set their levels.  Then say [Record][Sub][x][Enter].  Alternately you can do [Record][Sub] and then hit both bump buttons under the fader you wish to assign it to.

In that case you record ALL channels' values onto the submasters.
If you want only some channels value in the sub, you need to record selectively.
