ION cues show zero values!?

when the showfile ist loaded, can you manually bring up lights, so you see a value on screen and on stage?

No nothing and yes they are patched.

stupid question: is your grandmaster down or blackout button pressed? there would also be a red text telling as much on each display right next to the clock

Not a stupid question! This was my first thought so I checked several times.

when you select a channel in live and wheel it up, you just get a red 0?

Now this is a question I can't answer 100% what I did i selected channels on the magic sheet and wheeled it them up and from memory (was getting late last night) the went only to white 0. When loeaded another show the dimmers would come up with channels patched (am I making sense?) sorry not at work till tuesday will have to get the show working on tuesday though.

i would check offline if there is an inhibit on those channels. you could do that by selecting the channel and checking About

One thing I just remembered is that when I load the show it says above the command line on the playback screen, above the cue seconds/% , SHOW IMPORTED FROM STRAND. Does this give a clue?

This makes sense! Will do that first thing! Thanks! Or is there the possibillity of a kind of "secret" BO macro? The channels chnage colours in the 0 so blue, green or purple but just all at 0.

can you attach the showfile here? to do that click Reply, "use rich formatting" then in the lower row of icons the 9th from the left.

It's always best to look in About for things like this. If you select a channel it will tell you if the intensity is inhibited by anything.
It sounds like the cuelist maybe set to IM (intensity master) and the Ion may think the fader is down, moving the faders down and up may fix it.

Don't worry about the Imported from strand, it just means the showfile was imported in as an ASCII file at the beginning.

Hi Nick and Ueli, thanks for your help! went through and checked everything suggested, no Inhibits or Intensity masters, parked channels etc. I did move the faders and that seemed to have fixed it. the cue list is set as proportional and LTP. no idea why it did and what it did but now it works! thanks a lot!

I am still waiting to get some responses from the Australian ETC dealer to some of my questions. Great to have this forum here!
