Overpopulation of Playback Tabs

Hi All,

Lately this week, whenever I turn on my consoles, another "2. Playback Staus Display" is added to the tab line.  Sometimes with the "1.Live" as well. I currently have five Playback tabs and two Live tabs.  These tabs are non-escape-able.  Coincidentally, this occured a little while ago on the Eos in our other space, but Tech Support was able to make them go away.  I don't remember how.  Is this my fault?  Has it happened to anyone else?  Curious...

  • I haven't seen this happen before, but to fix it: Save your show, exit Eos, select [setup] [maintanence] [deep clear]. This will clear your unsaved showdata and your display layout. When you restart, you will only have the 2 tabs, and you can reload your show.
  • When looking at old posts saw this and reminded me of something.  On Ion when you "close" the tab, it doesn't seem to close because the designer could still tab to it on his node.  When he went to close it, the, say, patch screen would show up while he closed it.  Why doesn't the escape button close the tabs like the Eos and why when the designer switches to the other displays, the board op sees it switch as well.  Thanks

  • I would suggest your designer be a different user number than the main console. That way, the designer can do anything they want with the screens and command line, and the main console won't be affected. You set this up by exiting Eos/Ion and just changing the client user number to anything but 1.
