We are experimenting with show control and are correctly successfully controlling a 2014 Mac Pro running QLab with our ETC Ion console over ethernet (string tx via UDP). We would like an easy way to inhibit this functionality for tech so the operator can jump round without firing the media cues on the QLab machine. We are going to try recording a pair of macros to enable and disable String TX, but is there a better way? We would love to be able to just throw an inhibitive submaster that shuts down show control.
