Intensity master subs played back from macros

I'm working on playing back some Intensity Master submasters from macros on a magic sheet, and I'm trying to sort out how to release those submaster's NIPs when the subs are turned off.

I've discovered two quirks:

  • If hitting the sub bump button while editing a macro, if I am on a fader page >1, the bump button shows 'SubDown Label', 'SubDown Delay', etc in the Macro. I've been clearing out the Label, Delay, etc & replacing with the submaster number, but this seems…unusual.
  • I have a macros that turns off all of the submasters (sub 1 thru 40 @ 0), but I need to insert sub bumps for every sub that could have been brought up. I've tried making a macro that does this (SubDown 141 [Enter] SubUp 141 [Enter], etc), but after 2 or 3 bumps the macro stops working and starts grabbing channels instead of bumping the sub off.

Does anybody have any insight into how I can fix or automate the second issue?

Ion console (Win7 hardware), ver 2.2.0, 2x20 fader wing

Thanks!

  • For dance parties, etc, I often use pile-on subs, some with effects, etc, etc.
To turn off all the subs, I use a release macro – it's a Learned macro where I hold down the Release button and hit the load button (or both buttons for a sub on a fader wing) on every sub or cuelist but the main.
I've never been able to make a macro like this in the editor. This sort of thing is also super convenient for timing-disabling all the pile-on cuelists.
