iRFR not working

I updated my iPhone this morning however don't know if that's the cause. When running iRFR-BTR today on it I can manually turn on channels but that's all. I can't find any way to shut them off (GTC out or Ch # out). I can enter the channel number and @ 0 but when entering the next channel # whatever I have turned to 0 comes back on full.

It also won't accept next or last to go through fixtures for focusing.

iRFR-BTR version on my phone is 1.2.23 and as far as I know my ION is up to date.

I searched for an IRFR update but could not find any, including through the App store. The only iRFR-BTR app in the store has "open" rather than update.

Is this a known issue? If not how can I resolve it?

  • The remote most likely defaulted to channel check mode after the update, as some of what you are describing sounds like you are in channel check mode. On the iRFR hold the M key down and while holding it you should get the options to go to the different modes of the remote (Live, Playback, Patch, etc.). Press what ever mode you would like.

    As a side note when you use Channel Check Mode I believe if you do ch at full enter instead of ch full full to bring lights up, you won't get the previous taken out unit popping on to full. It catches me a bunch and I end up having to go to Live Mode and doing a Sneak to turn the light(s) that popped to full off.  I hope that makes sense.

    That does fix the turn off problem and I was unaware of being able to change the screen like that. Thanks bunches.

    However Ch Ck mode is what I wanted to be in because I was up on a ladder focusing fixtures and wanted to use next/last. that still does not work. I used to be able to bring up any channel; say 5 then using next it would go to 6 then 7 and so on, or backwards but now it does change in the iRFR program on the screen but the original lamp stay on. The fixtures do not change.

    Do functions in the other modes work? Is it only Next and Last not working? On my iPad mini Next and Last in channel check mode is working fine although I'm still on iOS 8.1.3.

    It appears only next last dont work. They show working in iRFR but no output & orig fixture stays on.
