ColorBlasts ghosting when I turn on the board

If you select the channel and look at [About] when they are ghosting, do you see any values? If Go to Q Out is working then I am guessing that something is effecting it.

But they turn out when you use Go To Cue Out?

Go to cue out OR go to any cue and then go to cue 0.

This is very interesting.  I think we need to find the affected addresses and look for them in about, as opposed to the channel. This may give us more information.  So if we know the intensity address for that cell, we could could look at that.

Are you talking to the fixtures with hardline DMX or network?  If this is a network system then a program like sACN Viewer may be able to give us a clue about where the data is being generated to turn the lights on.

I actually am running the sACN viewer and I am getting zeros on all those addresses. I feel like it's a PDS problem and not a board issue. It feels like when I power on the PDS it somehow spits out data???

My next step will be to get to the PDS. Unplug the dmx in. Turn off PDS and turn it back on and see what happens. ❓

Isn't the ghosting a standard behavior showing no data? Is that PDS on a different data chain than everything else? Or does it have any default settings? (i'm not all that familiar with the PDS's, its been a while.)

Keep in mind that if you go to cue out or 0 before you power off, once the gateways stop holding last look, they will start blinking  saying no data. I know on my console, if I power up with no active cue or any channels outputting, the gateways won't start to transmit on any given universe until the console sends an intensity non 0.  If I bring up channel 1 on universe 1, universe 1 on the gateway will go solid and i'll be good, but universe 2 will continue to blink until I do something on U2. So go to a cue or bring up a channel etc fixes the problem because the gateway starts transmitting.

Just throwing out a possible scenario.

Thanks for the reply Benjamin. Ghosting does normally indicate no data. That's what I would assume first off but I do have other PDS's daisy chained off of this one further down stream and they do not have this problem. The power for the PDS's are turned on after the board so its not an issue with them losing data and sitting there powered on waiting for a signal. Going to a cue or bringing the group up does fix the issue. As soon as they get there first data sent to them they act correct. Again its not really a problem as much as it is an annoyance not being able to solve this. Ive done this a long time and never seen this issue. Here is a test I did. On this PDS I have 12 ColorBlasts. Channels 530-541 universe 6. Ok I turn on board. They are ghosting. Bring channel 530 full. The unit goes full. No other units have any change still ghosting. Sneak 530 and that unit goes out while others continue to ghost. ?????? Im gonna just accept that they are possessed!!!
