Remote Power ON/OFF RVI & GIO

Question

Hey Folks, I seem to have some odd behavior with our RVI and GIO trying to set them up for remote start and shutdown. We have a GIO as master an ION as backup and an RVI for the Stagemanager (Client, 3rd user). All running on 2.2 Now I&acute;d like to power up and down the RVI via GIO. Therefore I enabled "Remote Start" and "Remote Shutdown" (note shure if I call it right; working with the german translation) on the RVI and nothing on the consoles. Shutdown works as it should but I&acute;m not able to power the RVI on from GIO (haven&acute;t tried from ION yet) but I&acute;m able to power up the GIO from both ION and RVI though it&acute;s disabled in the shell. OS-Version of the RVI is 2.4.0.9.0.2 same as the ION OS-Version of the GIO is 3.0.0.9.0.16 Do that mean that RVI and ION are XP and GIO is Win7 and would that make any difference in behavior / setup? Any ideas on that?

The version numbers vary widely. The best and most consistent way to tell is the hardware on the back - we don't have any overlapping hardware where some runs Win7 and others WinXP. The motherboard always is different. 
 
Any console with a DisplayPort connector on the back runs Win7. 
Ti, Gio, RPU3, RVI3, ETCnomad Puck, and Cobalt 10/20 consoles have always been Win7. 
The rest are all WinXP. 
 
I second Ueli's thought that giving Holzkirchen a call is a good idea to get the Wake On LAN sorted.
