Main fader pair - Manual override

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find out how to manually override the programmed times in a cuelist on the main fader pair. The cue in question is not set to manually.  I tried this on the Nomad software on my PC.

  • You can set the master faders to zero and then hit go for the pending cue. This places the cue under manual control.
    Hope that helps.

  • Hi Anne,
thanks for your reply! However I don't get it. I'm trying this here with a Nomad PC v2.2.1 and when I bring the pair of faders down to zero - the both move together - the intensity of the cue list goes to zero. When hitting GO, the next cue fades in in the programmed time, still with intensity at zero until I rise the faders.
I'm sure I'm overseen here something obvious, but what?

  • ah. Sorry. There are a couple of ways to do this. The behavior described above works when the fader is set to proportional. The faders can only be set to zero to preset for manual overrride in this mode. When using proportional mode, content is released to the playback when the cue is complete, allowing resetting for manual override. If you are using I-Master mode, the intensity is maintained under the control of the fader even when the cue is complete. If you are using I-Master mode, another way to do it is use Go to Cue X Time Manual (SK) - this puts Cue X into the active playback, and now the faders, when set to zero, control the transition.

Or you can set manual timing in your cue or set the playback to manual mode ----

You only need to worry about the right fader if the cue is recorded as a split fade. Otherwise, all content is controlled by the left fader.

    Hope that helps.
