Etc net 2 4 port node version 4.0.4

I have a brand new ion and I'm trying to set up a etc 4 port net 2 node that has 4.0.4 software I've tried everything but no luv it sees an ip address but when I go to the configuration it doesn't see any nodes I've gone through everything I can think of. Any ideas

are you trying to configure from the console? did you start GCE or NCE? GCE is only for Net3 nodes, yo i guess you would need NCE. that is not installed by default so you would have to do that first.

NCE ? I will look for that. What does it stand for. I guess that's why it's not working lol

Ok thanks I did try using a program on my pc it was net 2 editor but not from my console I will try tonight when I get home thanks
