EOS filters

Every day when I start up the console the filters get reset. For example for the Revolutions I only really want to see pan, tilt, scroller, edge, zoom...all the attributes do not fit into the width of the screen, so getting rid of the various Mspeeds, modes, hue and sat and other less needed stuff makes it easy to see at a glance. I clear them out and get it set every day  because they just keep coming back. One would think that recording a snapshot with "filters" selected would capture that state and return it for me if need be. Tried that and I ended up with a single parameter per focus, color and beam and holding down 'data" didn't give me an option for more for some reason. I guess I just don't fully understand how filters work. Can someone help please?

  • hi angie
i think there is a misunderstanding: you use the term Filters but you speak about Parameters. to decide which parameters are shown on screen you use the [Params] button (to set the visible params you can also hold down Data). to set filters you use the [Filter] button.
the state of Params will be recorded into a regular screen snapshot. filters are used to filter the Record and Record Only commands and can be recalled using a Filters snapshot.
    does this help?
  • You are right, I do mean parameters. And my snapshot has all workspaces visible and not as well as filters recorded into it and it still doesnt seem to capture them. With the filters recorded in it gave me something weird and random and nowhere close to what i had the visible parameters set at. Im just confused about it.
