Ion/grandMA Show File Compatibility

A GrandMA show file is completely different to the showfile used by Eos/Ion. There are a few ways of getting some of the data across but you're always going to have to do some cleanup because they desks work in very different ways.

Melissa, you can send your files to Eos@etcconnect.com and we will do the file conversion. As Dan mentioned, it isn't perfect because some information can't be translated. But it'll get your show structure in place, etc.

Hi Robin here again.....I may be doin a segment at a festival for an artist. The festival controller, is a GrandMA. I may not beable to get the whole plot and certainly not much time to do much focusing before the day....just how much of the GMa info will i be able to salvage.

-Patch
-Fixture types
-Groups
-Cue Lists
-Cues-Timings, intensity values, most parameter values and referenced data links.
-Timecode for Cue lists
-Presets
-Palettes

If you are interested please send your show file to Eos@etcconnect.com. If possible we prefer a MA2 show file. If you're unable to provide that we can convert a MA1 to a MA2 but its better to start with MA2 file :)

Hi Robin, you can't actually do the import yourself it's something ETC can offer but you have to send them a file in advance.

well, its either Nomad, or as i say GMA Crash course. hopefully i can get some info before hand. Thanks.
