Direct select module

I know that there is a 1x10 fader module that attaches to the top of the ION. I would really love a 2x20 direct select/tactile module that I could attach up there. I think that would make the desk that much easier to program on.

    But I really like that idea....   

     Here's another thought though...

    Would it be possible to take an x-keys or similar device and have the keys programmed to recall those pallettes or something along those lines?  If it's just a programmable key pad, this would make sense to me, but I don't know if that's actually the case or not...
