GIO/Nomad

Question

I am thinking of Getting the new EOS Programming Wing, which is similar to the GIO UI. but not having worked on a GIO before, can anyone tell me, can the rate wheel be used for adjusting rates in Effects? Also are the Programming Wing keys backlit like the GIO?

Just like Gio (and all of the other platforms), when you are editing effects, the encoders are routed to the various properties of the effect. So rate is adjusted via a rate encoder, not the "rate/fader page" encoder associated with the playbacks. The keys are backlit.
