Profile Issue: Robe Robin BMFL Blade

Robe: Robin BMFL Blade M2 (42 addresses)

EOS 2.3.0.9.0.192

1)
Gobo Select 2: Mode: Rotation
Gobo Index/Speed 2: No control of rotation speed,

Encoder snaps from "off" to "100 to -100%" No rotation, Command Line reads Next/last
(inserting a manual value gobo rotates as expected)

2)
Beam Fx Select: Mode: Rotation
Beam Fx Ind/Spd : No control of rotation speed,

Encoder snaps from "off" to "100 to -100%" No rotation, Command Line reads Next/last
(inserting a manual value prisms rotate as expected)

3)
Beam FX Select and Beam FX Speed appear on different encoder pages..... sort of inconvenient

4) Zoom:
"5°" to "°20" results in no change on the fixture (possibly a fixture thing)

5) Color:
No Hue/Saturation virtual control of CMY params.
Color Select 2 does not show colors on encoder display
Color Select/Color Select 2 are on different encoder pages

Cheers Thanks

  • Hi Sam,

Thanks for the report. I can reproduce nearly all of these.

#1, 2, 3 are easily reproducible for me and will be investigated.

As a workaround for #1 and #2, you can press Shift and move the encoder to change the rotation.

#4 - I see the DMX values changing between 255 (for 5 degrees) and 179 (for 20 degrees). The DMX charts for the fixture call out a 0-255 movement range, so this is likely a fixture/optical thing.

#5 - CMY does not currently work with HS encoders. This is a known limitation in v2.3.

When I change the Color Select 2 values, I do see changes. Granted, the colors I see are all very pale, but they are different (CTB, pink, lav, etc...)

I can reproduce that the color selects are on different encoder pages.

Once we've investigated a bit more, I'll let you know.

  • Hi Sam,

Update: the encoder groupings are fixed, but it is on the list to have configurable encoders (#3 and #5). We're still looking at the encoders controlling index and speed (#1 and #2). It has to do with how the ranges are defined in the fixture's firmware by Robe and in the library definition in Eos.

    Thanks!

    Hans
