Couple of 2.3 bugs

Hello, 2.3 seems great but I think there are a couple of bugs.

1/ [GOTO CUE] [0] [enter] doesn't work when there are no cues recorded - [GOTO CUE] [OUT] [enter] works as expected however

2/ If an effect is already running from a previous cue, and a subsequent cue adds or removes a channel with that effect applied, the effect appears to restart (ie the effect pauses and then fades in), which is annoying!

3/ effect changes do not appear to respect [UPDATE] [Q-ONLY] - the effect carries on

4/ [recall from] does not always appear to recall effect attributes

Thanks!

Richard

  • Hey Richard. sorry about the delay in replying.

    1) If all the values on stage are manual, and you go to cue zero, everything is removed. What are you seeing happen?

    2) Changing the composition of an effect live is a bit tricky - and it varies a bit between the different types of effects. We address behaviors when we find them -- or put them on the list to address. Can you tell me what kind of effect this was?

    3) Known issue - targeted for 2.4. (sorry)

    4) Am not seeing an issue here. Do you have a duplicator?

    Thanks much!

  • Hello, thanks for this, in answer..

1/ Weirdly I now can't replicated this, the behaviour was that - with no cues recorded - GOTO CUE 0 had no effect, while GOTO CUE OUT worked as expected, now on the Off Line Editor it all seems fine (am not at a console at the moment)

2/ Using a linear intensity effect, if the effect is assigned to channels 1>3 in cue 1, and then adds channel 4 in cue 2, when cue 2 is triggered the effect pauses and then fades in to restart. I suppose I would expect the behaviour to be that a second instance of the effect should crossfade in when cue 2 is triggered (to allow for different groupings etc)

3/ Good to know it's in hand!

4/ Again I don't seem to be able to recreate this, which is odd. I have noticed however that XX @ enter in blind doesn't remove effect attributes, so if channel 3 has an effect starting in cue 3, and no effect running in cue 2, I would assume that 3 @ ENTER should remove that effect, however the effect remains.

If I ever manage to recreate the problems I will try and work out what I've done!
