Open Beta for 2.3.2 Software

We are in the final stages of development for 2.3.2.    We've been in closed beta for a couple of months now.  In the run-up to the release, we'd like to get as many willing as we can onto this code.  There is a separate forum that you will now see for Eos 2.3.2 feedback.  This is largely clean up - although there are a handful of new features, which are noted there.

The latest build of 2.3.2 can be downloaded from this new forum.  Any commentary from your experiences should be noted there.   (And hey!  It's public, so the rest of you will know if our intrepid beta gang ran into issues, which will increase your confidence when we release 2.3.2).    We also have a forum post in that 2.3.2 Feedback forum called "Sticky Show List."  If you download and use 2.3.2 on a show, please note it there.  This helps us get an idea (together with the private beta forum) how much use 2.3.2 has had in the field prior to release.

Your help is much appreciated.  I know the word beta is scary to some.  We can't get to release unless we do a solid beta.   2.3.2 has already run a number of high profile shows.  This is a last check before release, so we'd love to have your help.  Please note that the nature of beta testing is that there may be a new build in a couple of days.  So you will need to be willing/prepared to always keep up with the latest posted on the beta forum.

All the best!  And thank you on behalf of the development team.

Anne

  • I bet you guys want to know how to see the 2.3.2. beta forum, don't you?   Yes, well. Sorry about that.  (What we see internally is a bit different from what you see externally).  Ok, here it is:

On the right side of the general forums page (where you see all of the forums listed when you are logged in as a user).  you will see a tile called "Open Betas."  Click on that.  You will there see Eos 2.3.2 Feedback.  If you click on THAT - there is a bar across the top of the page, telling you to join the group.  If you click on that, you'll be direct through anything else.  This sign on is automatic - no approvals from us.  From that point, you will see the Eos 2.3.2 Feedback forum in the general topics forum list.  I'm going to put in a couple of screen shots, which hopefully will help.

    Thanks so much!
