shortcut key bugs with 2.3.1

A found a few other little bugs with the Shortcut keys for 2.3.1 when using the RVI:

Paperwork error: F5 is listed as executing both CIA Hide AND Expand.  Only Expand works.  (Workaround: F9 open closes the CIA)

In earlier versions, holding E on the keyboard and clicking Form or Shutter etc in the CIA would lengthen/shorten the tombstones in Channel Live mode.  that doesn't work anymore.

It was mentioned in another posting by (ETC) that the split screen view (OEM, not the new 2.0 split screen) on single monitors is going to go away soon.  I'd argue against this until you resolve this:

(RVI: single screen)

if you open 2 frames (top and bottom), and top is Channels, and bottom is PSD, you get the active cue row at the bottom of hte channel list, a single line of the PSD (so it looks like the Active Cue row right above it), AND a fader page window, which is (to me) useless.

The original Split Screen view (tab 1.2) has the same real estate, but shows much more information.

Is there some way to shrink the Fader Page window.  Or list faders other than 1 - 10?

Thanks.

  • Hey Andrew. I believe the first HK issue was reported and will be fixed in the next published version. For the second issue (and sorry, I can't remember how it used to work) ...do you mean it would toggle the tombstone so you got just intensity with FCB icons in the bottom field? Will have to look into that.

Re: the split channel/PSD. Yes. That display will be maintained until we redesign the live/blind and PSD configuration tools. Part of that will be controlling what you see in more detail - including suppressing the fader ribbon, suppressing the master cue list indicator, suppressing columns, moving columns, etc. More config is needed not only to control single instances in frames, but also because you can have multiple instances of tabs 1 and 2, it would be better to set the properties per instance from live (rather than some of them being set globally from setup). That work is targeted for the next feature release.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Anne: for issue #2 (lengthening tombstones)
On the Ion console, short tombstones will show only an FCB in a line, if there is data.
Pressing Data and Colour (for instance) will lengthen the tombstones so each FCB parameter is a separate line, so you can read a label or CP#, BP# etc.
Previously on the RVI, you would hold E on the QWERTY and click a NP in the CIA for the same effect. that doesn't seem to work now.

    thanks.

  • The hotkey for Params has changed. Use ctrl-D now. It's that what you're seeing?
  • sorry for the delay in checking.

Yes, CTRL-D plus clicking Intensity/focus/colour/beam on the bottom of the screen (1 screen set-up) works.
If I open the CIA, CTRL-D works with only the filter for BEAM, but not focus, insensity, pan, tilt. It still works with the 6 NPs at the bottom left of the screen.

    so yes, that works, thanks.
