EOS 2.3 Lightwright import

I would love detailed information about all the added functionality of the Lightwright import in 2.3. The manual supplement doesn't explain much. My current question is what is the difference between "Type" and "Fixture Type" in the EOS column? I can't get my SeaChangers to import.

Thanks,

-Tim

  • Hi Tim,

"Type" could be used for the General description of a device; Light, Moving Light, Device, Practical Light, SFX, Power, or Other. You would only want to map these if there are no "Fixture Types" mapped or assigned to them and they are all the same.

For the SeaChangers you would want the corresponding LW field set to the Eos "Fixture Type" field. Use the {Map Devices} to point to the desired Eos fixture profile.

Updates to the support articles for Lightwright imports into Eos are in progress. Once ready they will be available here-
