Manually set a timed parameter change

Im sure there is a way to do this that i am missing. for exmple,I want to do a colour crossfade on selected LED fixtures....how can i set the time of he crossfade manually on the fly and say press enter and then the change will happen in the set time. how do this with other parameters also

Or in Setup > Desk > Manual Control you enter a time in seconds for Color.
Hint: this can be macroified ;)

aaah. Sneak. This method is exactly what i was looking for. Thanks. I am setting up a Bunch of Macros, for various things, but using the sneak really is the quick way on the fly.

if you're on an element, the second method won't work. but you can have macros to change the general sneak time in setup. that way you don't have to specify the sneak time everytime. for a slow song you could have it at 7(?) and for faster ones at 1 second...
