manually control movement of fixtures between 2 places using fader on element

Element

I want to program my Element so that I can manually move a couple of moving lights from position A to position B using one of the submaster fader controls.  I know it can be done using Avolites Titan software putting the faders into mode 2 setting up the starting point with 1 fader then the actual move using a second one.  I do not know enough about either Titan or Eos to transfer the knowledge to set it up for myself.

I want to use the lights to track a group of actors up a pre defined path but, as they are children, cannot get the timing right so I want to have manual control of the fixtures.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

  • On the Element, I'd recommend running this as a cue with timing of manual. When you press Go, you can take the faders down to 0% then manually fade them up in the defined time.

To set up a cue like this, type [Cue] X [Time] {Manual} (a softkey when Time is on the command line).

Element has only one cue list, so this would need to be a cue in the overall list for the show. Cues seem like the best way to accomplish this - submasters are only storing one look and restoring back once the lights need to go back down would be more difficult than in a cue.
