Time Confusion

The / key is used for several things

In patch, it is used for port/offset.  For instance if I want to patch something in the first address of the second universe, I can either type in 513 or 2/1.

In recording cues, it is used to define cue lists.  If I want a cue to be cue 5 on cue list 2, i would record cue 2 / 5 and it would be there.

You want to change just the up time.  On the O2 you would type [cue] [#] [time] [#][/][enter].

The command line reads the same.

On the Ion I want to type [cue][#][time][#][time], which negates the down time altogether, to not change the down time I don't write the second time.

This is confusing because the command line should read "uptime" when only changing the uptime, as in the case shown.  Currently the command line reads only "time" and I believe that I am changing the whole cue timing.

On a seperate note, what does the [/] button do?  If it doesn't split the time, I can't think of when else I use it.  Why can't it have anything to do with the time.

Jay, if you use [Intensity] [Time] it will access just the intensity upfade.  Victor and I worked through the time syntax last week.  We will be adding [/] as an option for changing time shortly, to allow it to work just like O2.  We've been resisting that as we had other plans for the [/] in relation to time, but will sort something else out for that function when we get to it.

Hello; if I am reading your post correctly, some time in the future, on the Eos we'll be able to assign split times by typing something like [Cue] 22 [Time] 5/20 [Enter]?

Yes, its on the list for 1.5.   You'll need to remember that FCB timing is, by default, linked to the upfade time...
