Posting Live and Dark Move channel lists from About Cue to command line

Is there any way (current or planned) to post the channel lists in the About Cue 'Live NP Moves' and 'Dark NPs Moves' columns to the command line?

  • Related question: sometimes I end up with long Dark NP move lists containing mostly LED channels, where I wouldn't be worried about the Dark Move except for the D flag in the PSD. I know that I can turn LD flags off on a per-fixture basis, however I do still care about Live moves on those fixtures. Is there any way of turning off just D flags on specific fixtures, whilst leaving their L flags active?
  • David, it is on the list to add these conditions to query states - which would select them on the CL. We've had the request to be able to turn LD flags on per cue/per channel. But it hasn't come up (before) to have this level of granularity either through the patch setting or by cue/channel. Will ponder.

  • Thanks, Anne. The Query states would definitely help clean up the Dark Moves much quickly than typing in all the channels each time.

The reason I was thinking about being able to disable only Dark move flags on LED fixtures was that some of the shows I'm working on are nearly 50% Source 4 / Selador LEDs, and it's very easy to end up with a number of Dark Moves on each cue - in particular when copying cues from earlier in the show and pulling out some channels, or setting groups of fixtures to a given colour when starting to build a cue, but then not using them all. In these cases it's easy enough to clean up to get rid of the D (and would be a lot quicker with the Query) but it can also be advantageous to keep the lights in those colours in case they need to be added to the cue later. For example, in my current show I copied an earlier cue and tightened up the area, but then in a later rehearsal the Director realised that the state needed opening out a bit more again - by which time I'd already got rid of the dark move on the colours, so had to go back and recall from the earlier cue again. It would have been more efficient to just keep the colour in after the original cue copy. So I kind of think it would be beneficial to be able disable the Dark move flags for these fixtures (where there is no disadvantage to the Dark move), but still keep the Live move warning.
  • Yep, can see the rationale. Will add to the list.
    :-)

  • Hi Anne, I just joined the forums to search if there was a way to do this and found this thread. I notice it's from a while ago... Has there been any progress on posting the "D" Flagged channels to the Command Line? Just being able to touch the channel list in the About Section where they appear in the CIA would be good for me... Thanks.
