Art-net on ETC Ion?

I am interested in finding out if I can have more than 1024 addresses on my Ion. It is about 10 years old but it does have an ethernet port. Can someone give me guidance on how to find out more information or the basics of how this would work?

  • Contact your local dealer. Adding outputs is just a money issue, last I looked Ion can do 12 universes (6000 or so outputs)
    You may also want to upgrade to the latest software, but that's free.

    You have probably the old hardware platform, that can do up to 3072 addresses.
    And just to make sure you know: you can spread those addresses over as many universes as you want. E.g. 1024 doesn't mean you can't get anything on the third universe. You can, as long as you leave some gaps in the first two universes and have some addresses left over that you can use for the third universe.
