Nomad Software not Recognizing Software Kit (Purple) Dongle

My installation of the Eos Nomad software is not recognizing the old Software Kit (big purple) dongle, nor enabling output or use as a primary or backup console. (My understanding is that the old software kit dongle functions as a Nomad 256 Dongle without modification, right?)

The Nomad software will connect to and mirror our Ion console just fine (both running 2.3.2), but does not present the option to run as a Primary or Backup with the Dongle in the computer's USB drive. The drivers for the dongle are as up to date as possible, or so claims the Device Manager.

I'm running Windows 7 SP1 on a Dell laptop. Anything else I should try to get the dongle working?

    if the drivers are not being delivered through windows update the device manager doesn't know if there's a newer version. i had this before and solved it by installing the newest driver package from here, i think: http://www.safenet-inc.com/support-downloads/sentinel-drivers/ . the most recent version seems to be 7.5.9.0, maybe you can compare that to the installed driver version in the device manager...

    This certainly seemed promising - Windows had apparently pulled down a 6.6.0 version of this driver. I updated to the 7.41 driver from the Sentinel website, which seemed to be the most recent driver for this particular HASP key.

    (I think the 7.5.9 may only be for their Sentinel Pro line? Not positive though. I reached out to SafeNet who make the Hasp key and opened a ticket to see if they could verify which driver version was the most up-to-date for this key.)

    Sadly, the Nomad software is the same as it was, acting as a client but not a primary or backup....

    Hi Jeff,

    Are you sure you have an Eos Client Dongle? Not that it is a Congo Client Dongle. The Congo Client Dongle will

    not work as an Eos Nomad Dongle 256  - rather only as a Cobalt Nomad Dongle 256. They both look alike. If you want,

    you can PM with a photo of your dongle with the Dongle Number readable on it, and I can at least check if its the right

    dongle.
