Only twice per year I have the need to control a Wybron scroller in a classroom demo using Nomad on a laptop. Each time I used the same scroller assigned to the same channel (8) and assigned the scroller as part 2 channel 40.
I had channel 8 and the scroller (channel 40) set up on two virtual sub faders; one each. I would bring up the fixture intensity then show how the scroller works by raising and lowering that sub. I would also show them how it goes directly to colors using the color palettes.
This time for unk reason the sub and the color palettes won't work. I tried everything that came to mind but could not get them to work. Soooo I deleted part 2 and re-patched it again as part 2 channel 4. Still nothing. So I finally deleted part 2 and just assigned the scroller to channel 40 alone. I did ch 40 @ full record sub 40 (happened to be the same) and now the sub fader works but it only scrolls through the first few colors by the time it reaches 100%. I was able to select the channel and through ML Control select each frame and record them into the color palettes which do work now, but the sub won't run the entire scroll length.
What am I missing? :-(
